Holding the highest point in the state at 2,407 feet above sea level, Cheaha State Park features a modern campground, picnic areas, hiking and biking trails and superb mountain scenery. The park's lake offers paddle boating, swimming and bank fishing while numerous short trails are easily accessible to those in wheelchairs or pushing strollers. Located about 50 miles east of Birmingham, Cheaha offers a relaxing and visually entertaining time away from city life.
